When you have completed this course you will be able to:

  • Recognize how cognitive function and optimal performance is reliant on a minimum quantity and quality of sleep
  • Recognize the symptoms of common sleep disorders and their impact on human performance and occupational risk
  • Interpret the influence of the shift schedule on personal and professional lives
  • Identify personal proactive strategies to prevent sleep disorders and manage fatigue risk while working shiftwork
  • Locate and be aware of resources to address sleep issues
