The Canadian Police Knowledge Network (CPKN) is committed to protecting and respecting the privacy of its users. CPKN supports the Protection of Privacy and the Freedom of Information Act in accordance with all applicable federal and provincial statutes.
CPKN collects and stores web usage information and system logs. These records may contain personally identifiable information (e.g. IP addresses) and are used to manage capacity, performance, and security, as well as to maintain and improve services. Logged information is not shared with, or disclosed to, any third party except as required by law.
Responsibilities of Users
CPKN users require authorized access, typically via a username and password. Individual users are responsible for their own learning accounts and must never share passwords with other individuals.
To protect your privacy and prevent unauthorized use, log out and completely close all web browser windows when you finish working in a CPKN portal.
Collection of Personal Information
CPKN collects personal information necessary for the creation of a user account as requested by the individual or agency. Collected information includes, but is not limited to, first name, middle initial, last name, badge number, e-mail address, and billing contact information.
