Preventing sexual harassment is fundamental to all workplaces. Allegations and incidents of harassment in the workplace can: create an unsafe workplace, impair employee morale and wellbeing, and erode public trust.
How is training part of prevention?
- The risk of incidents of workplace harassment occurring is reduced when people understand what conduct is “off-side” and hurtful
- Employees of police services (and the public, when served) need to know they have a right to be free from harassment on the basis of sex, gender identity, and sexual orientation (as set out in human rights laws and under collective agreements).
Over four, 10-minute animated episodes, this sensitive topic is explored through the stories of staff and managers at the hypothetical company “Future Generation.” With interactive exercises, you will learn how to identify forms of sexual harassment, and how to respond to incidents and complaints in your workplace.

- Discuss some of the impacts of workplace sexual harassment on (a) individual people; and (b) an organization
