You play a critical role in maintaining public safety and ensuring compliance with Ontario’s liquor laws.

This course is designed to support your work by providing a clear, practical overview of liquor regulation and the shared responsibilities between police services and the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

When you have completed this course you will be able to:

  • Describe the AGCO’s approach to liquor regulation with a focus on liquor-related violations.
  • Identify the unique roles AGCO Inspectors and police officers play in increasing positive regulatory outcomes within our communities.
  • Explain the various methods of information sharing between the police and the AGCO and the critical impact this collaboration has on positive regulatory outcomes and compliance with the law.
