Knowledge Exchange Series:

From Evidence to Action: Applying Policing Research to Training and Development

October 21, 2026 / Noon to 1 p.m. (ET)

Join us on Wednesday, October 21 from noon to 1 p.m. (ET) for an interactive Knowledge Exchange session as we explore CPKN's Annual Literature Review. This literature review looks at the latest international research that was freely available in 2025.

Designed for members of training units and portal administrators, this session will provide an overview highlighting emerging trends and areas of interest in policing with implications for police training and professional development.

This is an opportunity to ask questions and dive into the four main themes that are shaping police education and professional development:

  • Police wellness
  • Police training
  • Police and mental health response teams
  • Police legitimacy and public trust

Across all themes, the research highlights the importance of turning research into practical training, skills people can demonstrate, and results that can be measured. Join this session to better understand how this research can apply to your own service and training.
