Technology Integration

Future-Ready Policing and Public Safety

We are future-focused.

We explore the technologies shaping the next generation of policing and public safety. From artificial intelligence (AI) and extended reality (XR) to drones, self-driving vehicles, and other emerging tools, we investigate how innovation can enhance learning, insights, and impact across the Network.

We want to leverage technology to make professional development smarter, safer, and more effective to strengthen the entire policing and public safety community while preparing teams for what comes next.

Initiatives that Make a Difference

Our Department of Innovation leads technology initiatives designed to improve the Network’s experience with CPKN and increase capacity to tackle emerging trends and challenges.

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

CPKN is exploring AI both internally and across the Network.

  • Internally: Developing GPT-powered tools to support operations, streamline processes, and enhance learning.
  • Externally: Investigating how AI can improve training delivery and provide additional resources for the policing and public safety community.

Our national Task Force on AI brings together people and public safety professionals to share knowledge and experiences, making sure diverse perspectives guide every step of this work.
