Course Overview

The objective of this course is to assist front line officers, records units, analysts, call takers, readers, and auditors in recognizing human trafficking and reporting it consistently through the Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Survey.

Human trafficking is a large and complex issue. This course is not intended as an exploration of human trafficking nor as a guide for investigators. This course will focus exclusively on trafficking in persons (for the purpose of sexual exploitation and forced labour) and not trafficking in human organs or other related offences. This course is appropriate for both sworn and civilian members, police services, government and other first responders.
