Creating and Fostering a Safe Workplace for Trans and Gender Diverse Employees – Network Webinar Series

Identifying as a trans or gender diverse employee in policing institutions comes with unique and often misunderstood or unseen challenges. This webinar was focused on trans and gender diverse employee wellness within policing institutions and on how leaders, supervisors, and colleagues could foster and ensure a positive and safe workplace for trans and gender diverse employees.

Webinar panelists, who represent members from the Gender Diversity in Canadian Policing Advisory Group, explored topics including policy creation, understanding unsafe spaces, employee resources, gender transitioning in the workplace, allyship, and leadership-forward approaches to fostering inclusion.

The panelists discussed these topics while sharing lived experiences as gender diverse, trans folks, and allies working in policing institutions across Canada.
