We’re excited to announce the two new courses that have been added to CPKN’s course catalogue for July.
MPUR: Child Abduction – Applicable Legislation and Charging Guidelines
This course will provide investigators with an overview of the various types of legislation in place related to child abduction, as well as the information and knowledge they need to determine when criminal charges may be appropriate and what approvals are required prior to laying charges.
Presented in partnership with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) National Centre for Missing Persons and Unidentified Remains and the Department of Justice Canada.
MPUR: Child Abduction – AMBER Alert
This course provides front line police officers with an overview of the AMBER Alert Program. Front line police officers will also learn the information and knowledge they need to determine whether an AMBER Alert is appropriate in a given circumstance, the steps involved in issuing an AMBER Alert, and the required follow-up.
