Registration Fee


Early Bird: $700 plus tax (June 4 – July 9)
Regular Pricing: $750 plus tax (July 10 – September 4)

Accommodations


A room block is available at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Prince Edward and the Quality Inn & Suites Downtown.

 

  • Booking at the Delta Hotels by Mariott Prince Edward can be done online HERE.
  • Booking at the Quality Inn & Suites can be done online HERE or by phone at 902-894-8572 and request the CPKN Conference guestroom block.

Please Note: CPKN Board of Directors and National Advisory Committee members do not need to contact the hotel for booking. CPKN staff will be in contact with you individually to confirm your accommodation requirements.


Pre-Conference Workshop (optional)


Building Learning That Lasts: Applying Adult Learning and Memory Science

 

Most training is designed to deliver content, but less attention is often given to how well that information is remembered and applied. This interactive workshop focuses on designing learning that sticks and supports real-world decision-making in policing contexts. Participants will apply adult learning principles and insights from memory science to transform passive content into interactive, scenario-based learning, and will leave with a practical activity they can use in their own courses. The session is hands-on and application-focused, with participants actively redesigning course elements throughout. In the week leading up to the workshop, participants will receive a few brief (two to three minute) pre-work emails to introduce key concepts and maximize time for practical work during the session, with optional follow-up refreshers to support continued application.

 

Please note that this is an optional pre-conference workshop on Tuesday, September 22. Registration is required.

  • Thursday, September 24 – Dinner at Lobster on the Wharf

These activities are included in the delegate registration fee. Guests are an extra charge of $200 plus tax. See form below.

Cancellation Policy
  • Cancellations on or before July 15: Full refund, less an administrative fee of $75 + applicable taxes.
  • Cancellations between July 16 and August 20: Eligible for 50% refund.
  • Cancellations after August 20: Non-refundable.
