1. What is the Canadian Police Knowledge Network (CPKN)?
CPKN, a not for profit corporation, is Canada's leading provider of e-learning training for police and law enforcement. CPKN works in collaboration with police services, training academies, and recognized subject matter experts in the Canadian police community to develop high-quality online training products that meet the frontline needs of police and other law enforcement personnel.
2. Who is CPKN?
CPKN was established in 2004 to define and develop cost-effective training courses and tools to enhance police services training activities. CPKN's founding partners include the National Research Council, Holland College's Justice Knowledge Network (JKN), and the Canadian police community. Today, CPKN works with numerous police services, training institutions, and sector organizations across Canada, including the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police and the Police Sector Council.
3. How is CPKN governed?
CPKN is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors that provides strategic council and leadership. The Board is comprised primarily of senior level police officials within the Canadian police community.
4. When was CPKN established?
CPKN was established in March 2004 and officially launched its national online learning portal in October 2004.
5. What e-learning products does CPKN offer?
CPKN offers a growing catalogue of e-learning courses that are specifically designed to meet the training needs of frontline officers. To view or download the catalogue, please visit the Course Catalogue.

9. Who can take CPKN courses?

10. How can our organization become a Content Provider?
For information on how your organization can work with CPKN to develop e-learning products, please visit the Content Provider page.
11. Does CPKN provide certification for course completions?
CPKN provides Course Completion certificates which indicate that a learner has successfully completed all of the requirements for an e-learning course.
When a CPKN course is used as part of a blended learning program, the delivery agency may provide certification. However, in these cases, CPKN’s Course Completion certificate only verifies completion of the online component, and not the overall program.
At this time CPKN is working with police and academia to determine eligibility for continuing education/post secondary credit. Please check back with CPKN for future developments in this area.
12. How can I access my CPKN training record?
Your CPKN training record may be accessed by clicking on the Transcript tab of your account page. CPKN may also provide additional reporting to your agency. Please contact Support for additional information.

CPKN accepts Visa, MasterCard, cheque, or money order. Online payment is not available at this time.
