St. John Ambulance First Aid Training (Under Development)

First aid skills can often mean the difference between life and death in emergency situations and first aid training is essential for first response personnel. St. John Ambulance has adapted its traditional first aid training program into a blended learning solution involving an online theory-based component and a condensed classroom-based practical session. This flexible approach not only reduces scheduling conflicts, but also saves time, reducing classroom time by half.
The delivery of this First Aid blended learning program is coordinated, including topic selections and classroom scheduling, between an organization's Training Coordinator and St. John Ambulance. For more information, please contact:

Part I - Online
The online component of the First Aid training program consists of mandatory and elective topics. Depending on the program selected, participants may complete Emergency level First Aid training or Standard level First Aid training. This approach allows organizations to customize their training program to meet specific needs. Once registered, participants will receive access to all topics relevant to their specific training program.

Part II - Classroom
On completion of the online modules, participants are required to attend a reduced classroom (skills assessment) session. Scheduling for this classroom component of the program is arranged between the participating organization's Training Coordinator and the St. John Ambulance office. The online component of the program must be successfully completed prior to attending the classroom component.
Certification
On successful completion of both the online and classroom components of the program, participants will receive either an Emergency First Aid or Standard First Aid certificate from St. John Ambulance.
