CACP Endorsement
CACP Endorsement
The Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police has endorsed CPKN’s mandate to provide online training to frontline police and other members of Canada’s law enforcement community since 2006.
In January 2009, CACP extended its support to include specific CPKN courses that have met the requirements of a CACP-approved e-learning endorsement process. Designed to validate e-learning development procedures, the endorsement process assesses CPKN learning products against identified best practices for course training standards, instructional design, course development, and quality reviews. Based on CPKN’s adherence to that process, the CACP Board of Directors has issued endorsements for the following courses:
- Police Ethics and Accountability
- CPIC Query/Narrative Online
- Firearms Identification for Public Agents
- Canadian Firearms Registry Online: A Tool for Officer Safety
- Preventing Officer Involved Collisions
- Death Notification
- Police Information Portal
Any CPKN course that demonstrates applicability to a national police audience is eligible for consideration under the endorsement process. While new courses will be given priority, existing courses from the CPKN catalogue may also be submitted for review.
